Rumble at the Citadel

- LOCHLIN HIGHET

Get ready for a real rumble next month when Pro Wrestling Elite returns to Ayr.

The popular wrestling promotion is set for one of its biggest yearly events with the sixth annual 30- person, over the top rope battle royale at the Citadel.

Some of the biggest names from across the red- hot British wrestling scene are set to fight for the right to challenge the PWE champion, Kenny Williams, who won the rumble last year.

Stars such as Jack Jester, Aaron Echo and Jackie Polo will join a host of fan favourites from around the country.

Promoter Adrian McCallum said: “The Rumble is always one of our most popular events, and with the line- up we have this year will be no different.

“Nobody really knows what will happen at the end of the night – but one thing’s for certain, we’re going to have an amazing match.”

Matches already announced on the night – as well as the huge 30- person over- the- top- rope rumble for a shot at the PWE title – include Viper against Jokey and Jackie Polo squaring off against Aaron Echo.

Tag Team champions The Purge will issue an open challenge to any superstars who fancy a shot at their titles.

Adrian added: “British wrestling is really on the up, and this is one of few chances you’ll get to see the top stars in Ayrshire.

“Tickets are going fast, but there are still a few available – don’t miss this one, because it’s going to be a huge night.”

Tickets cost £ 13.75 for general admission, or £ 45 for a group of four. Doors open at 6pm, and the show begins at 7pm.
