People in Ayr South and Coylton were being encouraged to show their support for local community groups looking to make a big impact on local life.
The latest Ayr South decision day will be held on Saturday, February 16 at Kyle Academy.
The Ayr South and Coylton locality planning group event is part of a drive to get people actively involved in local decision making known as ‘ Participatory Budgeting’.
Building on the success of recent community funding decision days, this latest marketplace event will see 22 groups display ideas for community projects to local people who are being invited to drop- in to vote to award funding.
Up to £ 14,000 is available at the event with groups able to be funded up to £ 1000.
Voting is open to anyone who lives, works, volunteers or studies in Alloway and Doonfoot, Ayr South Harbour, Town Centre, Belmont, Castlehill, Kincaidston, Holmston, Forehill Coylton, aged 10+.
The money is being made available from South Ayrshire Council, South Ayrshire Health and Social Care Partnership, and the Alcohol and Drug Partnership.
The ‘ Decision Day’ event takes place at Kyle Academy between 10am- noon.
