-

Art lovers and tattoo aficionados are being promised a unique evening of entertainment in the splendour of a Georgian mansion.

As part of the major ‘ British Tattoo Art Revealed’ exhibition at Rozelle House in Ayr, an After Hours event is being held on Saturday, February 23, featuring fire eaters, magicians, sword swallowers, burlesque performers and DJs.

Tattoo: British Tattoo Art Revealed is curated by The National Maritime Museum Cornwall, an independent Museum based in Falmouth. Bringing the exhibition to Scotland is a major coup for Rozelle with the event showcasing the work of major tattoo artists from George Burchett, via the Bristol Tattoo Club, to Alex Binnie and Lal Hardy.

The over 18s After Hours event includes: DJ - G MAN: having performed for Sir Paul McCartney, The Queen and Ewan McGregor, G Man is no shrinking violet behind the decks. Alan Rorrison: specialises in close up and sleight of hand magic and is one of the world’s leading consultants on magic for TV and Stage productions.

Fire performers: Mia Meow and Louise Labreche are a female fire force to be reckoned with. With almost 20 years’ experience between them you’ll be dazzled with their array of skills, which include fire eating, body burning and fire spinning.

Snookie Mono: daredevil and international sword swallower Snookie Mono is one of the rare hundred or so known practitioners in the world of this ancient and honourable skill.

International burlesque artists and performers will be waiting to welcome you at this unique exhibition.

Free travel: return minibus from Ayr Train Station and Ayr Bus Station ( Cameron’s Bar) from 6.15pm onwards.
