Future entrepreneurs to score vital help network
An initiative to “engage and support” the next generation of business is returning for its second year.
Run by the Ayrshire Chamber of Commerce, the ‘ Future Chamber’ is now inviting applications for the 2019/ 2020 intake.
‘ Future Chamber’ is one year’s FREE membership on the Enterprise tier which is fully funded by the Chamber’s Platinum partners.
This will give the successful applicants access to a wide variety of services such as HR and Legal advice, free networking and preferential member rates for training and events.
In addition, there will be four ‘ Future Chamber’ events tailored towards client needs.
The initiative is open to under 35 year olds with a business based in Ayrshire that has been trading for a minimum of two years.*
Karen Bennie, who signed up to last year’s venture, said: “I had worked for the Fenwick Hotel for just over a year when the new Future Chamber program was brought to my attention.
“The membership to me has been invaluable. We have benefited from free editorial space, which has been featured in the chamber magazine.
“I have attended training, business boosts and multiple networking events and developed great relationships with members and within the chamber itself, which I am happy to say is bringing in new customers to the hotel and helping raise its profile.
“Also, securing a mentor means I am developing my own skills, which is helping both with my role and the business as a whole.“
Val Russell, Chamber CEO, added: “We’re excited to work with the next intake of Ayrshire’s Young Entrepreneurs. We’re introducing some changes this year to make it even better. Are you ready to be part of it?”
Applications should be submitted by Friday, March 1 after which invitations will be extended to attend a short interview.
Successful applicants will be announced at the end of March.
