Guilty teacher found dead at bail flat in Ayr
A pervert teacher who had sex with a 14- year- old pupil has killed himself.
Ryan Fisher, 29, last Thursday was found dead at his Ayr home — only days before he was to be sentenced for having sex with the vulnerable girl up to 23 times.
The former Prestwick Academy teacher was found guilty by a jury at Ayr Sheriff Court last month.
He was expected to face jail when he appeared in court for sentencing on July 16.
A family source told The Post : “He was a convicted sexual predator who took the easy way out by killing himself rather than serve any sentence he would have been given by the Scottish Court System.”
A jury took just 30 minutes to find Fisher, who was a teacher at the school at the time of the offences, guilty for having under age sex with the child for 15 months.
He was put on the Sex Offenders’ register and given bail to a flat in Ayr. Fisher had sex with the pupil, who cannot be named for legal reasons and is now aged 20, at the home he shared with his then girlfriend and many times at Fullarton Woods, Troon. Fisher. formerly of Brodie Avenue, Troon, described himself as like Jimmy Savile in a message to the girl who is no now 20.
Their relationship began after he off offered to help the teenager, who had dy dyslexia, with her studies as she was str struggling at school.
The shamed teacher admitted se sending her messages about taking th the contraceptive pill before a arranging to meet him.
More than 1000 messages were s seized from the girl’s laptop by f forensic officers.
A Crown Office spokesman said “The procurator fiscal has received a report in connection with the death of a 29 year old man in Ayr on July 4.”
