On Thursday, the showroom hosted its open day with South Ayrshire Provost Helen Moonie having the honour of cutting the ribbon.

Wilson and Patrice decided to join the Dream Doors company and open its 92nd store in the UK by combining Wilson’s expertise in that field with Patrice’s retail know- how.

“We wanted to open here in Prestwick and give something back to the Ayrshire community,” said Patrice.

“Wilson is so passionate about this business and it’s great that our children are involved too.

“Our customers so far are all happy at the difference we can make to their kitchens.”

Wilson went on: “We are also working with customers to address the functionality of their kitchens and how they use the kitchen.

“This may involve changing cabinets from doors to drawers or moving appliances.

“This gives great rewards to see customers happy with changes. “We have been through new fitted kitchens ourselves and we wanted to be involved in something that offered people the chance to completely transform their kitchen but take away the hassle.

“We have been in our situation ourselves where we had to live with a new fitted kitchen piled up in boxes for weeks before it was time to be fitted but that will never happen with Dream Doors.”
