At Drongan Golf Club, members organised the club’s annual Fox & Rabbit Tournament, held at Dalmilling Golf Course.

The club members invite friends, partners, kids, grandkids, nieces and nephews to come along and putt for the players.

It’s a fun day for the non members and everyone had a great time.

The Girvan Ladies August Medal was won by Ann Bush ( nett 66) followed by Elinor Heggie nett 71 and Marion Whiteford also on nett 71. Elinor Heggie had the lowest gross score of the round.

On Thursday the ladies held their Captain’s Prize, a Stableford competitio­n, which was won by Vera Dunlop on 39 points followed by Roz McCulloch 35 points and Isobel Kyle also on 35 points.

The Girvan gents competed for the Millenium Cup which was won by Ken Smith ( 23) 61 followed by Alan Copland ( 10) 64, D. Gordon ( 16) 65, Jamie Galloway ( 12) 66 and Scott Macpherson ( 14) 66. Jim Brown with 73 had the lowest gross score of the round. Over at Turnberry in the Wednesday medal N. Clark came in to win with ( 22) 69 followed by Tom Middleton ( 23) 69 and Alexander Dargie ( 18) 70.

Meanwhile Dick Richmond continued his incredible run by bagging his sixth hole in one, this time at the 16th on the Bruce course – a distance of 126 yards with a 7 iron.
