Troon Friends of the Ayrshire Hospice are holding a Coffee Morning in Troon Old Parish Church Hall on Saturday from 10am until noon.

Entrance £ 2.50. Tea/ Coffee and freshly- made pancakes. Raffle and Home- Baking Stall.

Dr Gerry Nordley amateur astronomer, science fiction writer and space scientist will be the guest speaker at the Astronomer­s of the Future Club which meets on Thursday August 29 at 7.15pm inthe Barassie Works Club.

The first meeting of the new session for TAG will take place in St Meddan’s Church Hall on Wednesday August 28 at 2pm.

The guest speaker is Mr David Dewar and his presentati­on is “Carnegie”. Refreshmen­ts following the talk. New members very welcome.

Reminiscen­ce Afternoon will take place in the Church of the Nazarene, Union Street, off Templehill on Wednesday August 28 from 2pm to 3.30pm Open to all. Refreshmen­ts available.

A Drop- in Hearing Aid Clinic will be held in Troon Library on Tuesday September 3 from 2pm to4pm. Free batteries and new tubing available.

Eco Ayrshire - over 30 groups will be at Troon Scout Hall on Saturday August 31 from 11am to3pm. They aim to educate and give advice on ways to lead a more environmen­tal sustainabl­eway of life. Refreshmen­ts available.

Troon Foodbank continues throughout the Summer months in Troon Old Parish Church.

Food can be collected on Tuesdays and Fridays in Room 2 from 12noon to 2pm. Donations welcomed.

St Ninian’s Episcopal Church are holding a Car Boot Sale in the church grounds on Saturday September 21.

Sellers can access at 8am and Buyers from 9am 1pm. A pitch for a car is £ 7, car & table £ 10, table only £ 5 and vans £ 12. To book a pitch please email administra­tor@ stninianst­roon. org. uk.
