More than 40 top companies are to do battle for Ayrshire’s business Oscars.

Shor t l i s t s have been announced across 15 categories in the event run by the county’s Chamber of Commerce.

Former Miss Scotland Jennifer Reoch and ‘ Britain’s Got Talent’ star Edward Reid will host the glittering awards ceremony in October.

Chamber chief executive Val Russell said the tenth year of the gongs had attracted the “highest quality” of entrants sfar.

David Hughes, managing director of the awards’ principal sponsor 1825 Financial Planning, added: “As always the quality of entrants is extremely high and we wish you all the very best of luck in your respective categories.”
