From the end of October thousands of geese have circled our fields and landed in the fields down from Loans and in the Muirhead and Hunter Crescent area. Since the seventeen hundreds wintering fowl have settled in the Troon area on the marshy fields from Barassie to Troon. To make sure that these geese continue their migration from Scandinavia and Iceland it is essential that their habitat is protected from anyfurther house- building on our fields and boggy areas.
