Deano is Keen on Troon’s form

-

Dean Keenan claims Troon don’t fear a Scottish Junior Cup trip to Pollok after blasting EIGHT goals in the last two games.

Former boss Jimmy Kirkwood has stepped back into the dugout following the departure of Jonathan Baillie and led the team to back to back 4- 1 wins.

Troon face the last 32 tie on a high after easing their drop fears with a resounding show against Hurlford.

Keenan, who combines playing with being assistant manager, said: “Pollok gave us a 4- 0 doing earlier and are off a good result at Beith but we have had a couple of good wins and will give it our best shot.

“I think once the cup tie is out the way the club will look at appointing a new management team.

“I’m not ruling myself out but it is important to continue playing. However, I want what is best for Troon.”

Goals from Scott Chatham and Dylan Pooler got Troon off to a flier. Marc McKenzie replied but sub John Gemmell climbed off the bench to powerfully head home with his first touch.
