St Meddan’s popular Panto this year is Aladdin and it is running in the Church Hall from Tuesday December 3 to Saturday December 7 opening at 7.15pm.

Tickets - on sale from the Church. Office, Words & amp; Music - priced £ 7 and £ 6 concession.

The Guild Christmas Fair held on Saturday 16 raised the excellent sum of £ 750 which will be donated to several charities.

Light Up Loans – Come along and enjoy a Village Christmas with Carols, Christmas Songs and Raffle from 4pm to 5.30pm in the Loans Village Hall.

Santa will switch on the lights during the afternoon.

Christmas by Candle Light - an evening of Christmas Carols and well known Christmas songs will take place in Troon Old Parish Church on Sunday December 15 from 7pm.

The Musical Director is Robert Scott.

Tickets are on sale priced £ 10 from Words & Music and The Powder Room.

The Bipolar Scotland group meets on the 1st Tuesday of every month. The meetings are held under Ayr Action for Mental Health in Strathyre House, 42 Prestwick Road, KA8 8LB

TAG – Troon Arthritis Care - Members please note that the Christmas Lunch will be held on Wednesday December 4 in The South Beach Hotel, noon for 12.30 lunch.

The Hospice Light up a Life Service will be held this year in the Seagate Church, Ayr Street on Wednesday December 4 at 7.30pm.

Refreshmen­ts will be served after the service. All very welcome.

Troon Foodbank is open weekly in Room 2 Troon Old Parish Church on Tuesdays and Fridays from noon to 2pm.

Tins of meat, fish, vegetables long life milk and juices will be very much appreciate­d.

Essential toiletries are always in high demand.

Seascape Befriendin­g Group – Feeling lonely in need of a chat and company?

The Befriendin­g Group will welcome you on Friday mornings in St Meddan ‘ s Church Hall at 10am. Coffee and a hot roll with sausage are on offer free of charge. Have a go at Chess for beginners. Meet new friends.

A FoodBank container is permanentl­y available in the Foyer of Troon Library.

Donations of dry foods and tinned foods very welcome.
