A man appeared in court last Thursday accused of the rape of an Ayr mum who was found dead in her home.

Kirsty Robertson was discovered inside her house in Ayr’s Fulshaw Place last month.

Her death, on October 20, stunned pals and the community. Police are still probing the case. Her death, which is still being treated as unexplained, remains an active investigation for major crime detectives.

A 29- year- old suspect, David Hose, of Ayr, appeared on petition at Ayr Sheriff Court on Thursday, November 28 and made no plea.

He was charged with three counts against the Sexual Offences ( Scotland) Act 2009 Section 1, which is rape.

He made no plea and was remanded in custody pending further police enquiries.

Police began their enquiries after 29- year- old Kirsty was found dead at her home last month.

Forensic teams sealed off Kirsty’s house following her death but ruled out murder.

The mum- of- two was described as an “absolute diamond” by pals, who helped raise £ 3000 to help pay the cost of her funeral.

The friends and family united to raise cash for her young children.

They raised a magnificent £ 1018 for the kids’ Christmas when about 100 people crowded into Pro Soccer in Ayr for a bingo night.

Big- hearted staff at Madisons night club donated their wages and tips to help fund Kirsty’s children’s Christmas presents.
