Ayr Seniors made it four- in- a- row with a 73- 60 victory away at Paisley.

Ayr skips first, D McKie 22 R Morrow 10; R Lang 15 R Fletcher 23; S Wyllie 17 A Thomson 13; J Henderson 19 N Rafferty 14.

This now places them second in the league and whilst Coatbridge are league winners, a home win against them for their final league game of the season will finish them on a high and secure the second place.

Scottish triples action at Ardrossan saw Ayr Ladies J Paterson, J Arnott and M Hutchison defeat Inverclyde on the Saturday. However, they were knocked out on the Sunday by Coatbridge.

The Gents triple of D Lang, D Shields and P Shields were not so fortunate, being knocked out in their Saturday game by East Kilbride.

As well as the last Seniors game, next Saturday sees the Gents also at home to Allander.

It is now some quiet time for the ladies as they have no game this week whereby their season doesn’t re- commence until the new year.

The Gents Triple of Jordan Slaven, Darren Weir and Paul Foster qualified through to the semi finals of the SIBA National Triples at the weekend after four victories over Cumbernaul­d, Abbeyview, East Fife and West Of Scotland at Cumbernaul­d.

The Gents will now take on Elgin in the semi finals at the West Of Scotland in March.

The Ladies Triple of Rachel, Lyn and Rebecca Houston won their first match against East Fife, but were beaten by eventual qualifiers Abbeyview on Saturday afternoon.

This Saturday the stadium hosts two matches, the Senior side finish off their league campaign with a home match against Ardrossan and the Gents face their biggest game of the season so far as they entertain Lanarkshir­e.

The Ladies side face a tough match away at Lanarkshir­e where two points would put them in a good position.

Friday night see’s the club’s juniors take on West of Scotland in the 1st round of the SYIBA Top 10 at the Bellevue Road Stadium.

Sunday sees both the Ladies and Gents Under- 25 Scotland Trials take place at Arbroath.

Rachel and Rebecca Houston will take their place in the Ladies Trial with Darren Weir, Andrew Weir and John Fleming taking their place in the Gents Trial.

At the World Under 25s last week Rebecca Houston lost in the quarter final of the Singles to England and the first round of the Mixed Pairs to Ireland at West Denton in Newcastle.

AUCHINLECK

The Senior team played their penultimat­e game at home against Cumbernaul­d and secured a win of 101 shots to 41 shots.

No games for Ladies and Gents team as SIBA Ladies and Gents National triples playdowns were held at Ardrossan IBC.

Claire Johnston, Hannah Smith and Carrie McLean represente­d Auchinleck Ladies.

The girls beat Galleon by 21 shots to 6 shots, they then beat Ardrossan by 19 shots to 16 shots, before losing to Glasgow on Sunday morning 19- 18.

Billy Anderson, Malcolm Baillie and

John Davidson represente­d Auchinleck gents, they played against Billy Anderson’s son Stewart who skipped the Blantyre triple.

The gents lost the match 19- 13 Sunday, December 8: Baird Bowl Competitio­n: Auchinleck Outdoor 4 points, Galston 2 points; Cumnock 6 points, Mauchline 0 points.

Saturday, December 14: Senior team play West of Scotland in last league match away from home from 11- 2pm. The team are 2 points ahead above Blantyre and a plus of 23 shots.

Gents team play East Kilbride at home from 2- 6p. m. Team still to be selected

Sunday, December 15: 11- 1p. m: Baird Bowl fixtures: Glaisnock v Mauchline and Cumnock v Auchinleck Outdoor, these are the final matches of the first session,

Cumnock have 22 points and Auchinleck Outdoor 17 points.

The winning team of this game will determine which club will win the first session.

Dawn Anderson, Carrie McLean and Sophie Reid have been selected to play in the SIBA under 25 Ladies Internatio­nal Trial at Arbroath, which is due to take place today ( Wednesday).

The club is hosting a Bottle Bingo tonight ( Wed) at 7pm.
