Meanwhile both Lib Dems - Helena Bongard in Ayr and Emma Fartherine in Central - didn’t spend a farthing.
All the cash for the campaigns are raised by central and local party offices, with some small individual donations.
Returning MP Dr Whitford’s total spend included £ 6148 on advertising and £ 6637 in leaflets and other campaign material.
She forked out a cool £ 3000 for her face to be emblazoned on a “tri- sided digivan” which trundled through Central towns for four days.
Expenditure included £ 300 on petrol, £ 35 on stickers, £ 500 on 500 car stickers,£ 214 on badges and a giant billboard for £ 900.
She spent £ 384 on professional photographs of herself.
Glasgow- based Saltire Graphics were paid £ 2793 for 44,036 copies of the main election leaflet and £ 1792 for a second run of 25,881.
Her neighbouring MP Allan Hopkins Dorans - who performed his maiden speech in the Commons last week - spent £ 3316.67 on advertising and £ 5,845.60 on literature and mailshots.
His campaign paid £ 840 for a billboard ad and £ 470 for an eight foot by two foot banner.
There was also a “magazine advert” costing £ 374.
There were nine targeted Facebook ads costing around £ 1500.
They hired a nine- seater battlebus from Arnold Clark in Prestwick Road at a cost of £ 1040 and another £ 180 in diesel.
Again he used Saltire Graphics in Glasgow for 49,000 election leaflets costing £ 1686.
Ayr Tory Martin Dowey spent £ 12,419.86 - £ 11205.42 of which was funded by the local constituency and £ 1214.44 from party HQ in Edinburgh.
Costs included a giant £ 8807.26 on “unsolicited materials to electors” which means literature to their doors.
Other fees included £ 437.95 on Facebook ads.
Cent ral Tor y Derek Stillie’s campaign forked out £ 11,248.86, again most of which at £ 7622.70 for material to electors such as leaflets, calling cards and targeted letters which cost £ 582.89.
Accommodation and admin was costed at just under £ 2800.
Louise McPhater for Labour Central spent just £ 2236.73 mostly for leaflets and direct mailing.
She spent £ 420.73 for online adverts and £ 100 on vinyl car stickers.
The other Labour candidate Duncan Townson, who didn’t stand a chance in the two- horse race for Ayr, spent £ 1 and five pence over £ 2000.
That included £ 96 on fuel and the only mildly amusing buys of the election - eight large sized Labour jackets at £ 120 and two extra- large for £ 30.
The Central Ayrshire MP’s campaign spent a total of £ 13,267, the maximum allowed is around £ 15,000
