No rest from panto as a Sleeping Beauty is stirring

-

The Gaiety Theatre in Ayr is surging forward with ambition to produce ‘ The Best Pantomime In Scotland’ after the giant success of their recent production of ‘ Jack and the Beanstalk.’

Production meetings and scriptwriting for the 2020 panto are already well underway as the Gaiety’s Creative

Team gets into their next production ‘ Sleeping Beauty’ which opens in less than 10 months time!

And to celebrate the launch of their next venture, the Gaiety is also offering customers the chance to win a meal for two at their Stage Door restaurant with all panto tickets purchased before the end of February.

The recent Gaiety pantomime ‘ Jack and the Beanstalk’ was enjoyed by upwards of 25,000 people, with more school performances than previous years and an increase in audio described, BSL signed

performances and a first for the theatre with two relaxed performances.

So, fresh from the dizzy heights of success, writing duo Fraser Boyle and Ken Alexander will now spin theatregoers into the magical tale of ‘ Sleeping Beauty’.

Fraser said: “I am hoping audiences love it so much they’ll want to come and see again and again.

“The Kingdom of Ayrshire and Arran has been cursed by She- Who- Must- NotBe- Named… The wicked Carabosse, Bride of Maybole, wants the throne all to herself - she’s got a pet dragon waiting in the wings to back her up claim.

“Only true love can break the spell - but with the Princess Aurora in hiding and a Prince not keen on marrying someone he’s never met; how can the Kingdom be saved?

“Can the Arran Fairy overcome confusions about her name and protect the land from evil?”

Buy your tickets before February 29 to be entered into a free prize draw to win a three course meal for two at the Stage Door Restaurant worth up to £ 100.

Tickets are on sale now at The Gaiety Ticket Desk on 01292 288235 or online at www. thegaiety. co. uk, with an early bird offer of £ 2 off all tickets booked before June 30.
