Sausage king Ephraim Belcher bought Cloncaird before 2003 while still chairman of Prestwick- based Belcher Food Products.

Ephraim bought the castle in 2003 from Canadian Bob McGregor who owned it for 30 years.

The castle boasts five reception rooms, a billiard room, 14 bedrooms and seven bathrooms.

Though Cloncaird dates from the 15th century, the old tower house was redeveloped into today’s castle, around 1814.
