Kids charity host Brig O’Doon birthday bash
A children’s charity are set to celebrate a special milestone in style.
Crosshouse Children’s Fund are getting ready to mark their first full year of fundraising supporting youngsters and their families.
The Fund, which was established by Glasgow Children’s Hospital Charity in May 2019, will celebrate its first anniversary with a Birthday Ball on Friday 24th April at Ayr’s stunning Brig O’ Doon Hotel.
The glittering event aims to fundraise for Crosshouse Children’s Fund, as well as recognising and celebrating the achievements of a successful first year.
Since May the Fund have welcomed on board official charity partnerships and given the sensory garden at Ayrshire Central’s Rainbow House a new lease of life by installing brand new equipment.
They have also launched an ongoing appeal to support the Ayrshire Maternity Unit in funding specialised cots and equipment to help premature and sick babies.
Amy Aitken, regional fundraising manager at Crosshouse Children’s fund, said: “Our first year supporting young patients and their families in Ayrshire and Arran has been fantastic and we look forward to many more years of successful fundraising to come.
“Our Birthday Ball promises to be a fantastic evening and we look forward to celebrating with everyone on the night.”
