Kids charity host Brig O’Doon birthday bash

A children’s charity are set to celebrate a special milestone in style.

Crosshouse Children’s Fund are getting ready to mark their first full year of fundraisin­g supporting youngsters and their families.

The Fund, which was establishe­d by Glasgow Children’s Hospital Charity in May 2019, will celebrate its first anniversar­y with a Birthday Ball on Friday 24th April at Ayr’s stunning Brig O’ Doon Hotel.

The glittering event aims to fundraise for Crosshouse Children’s Fund, as well as recognisin­g and celebratin­g the achievemen­ts of a successful first year.

Since May the Fund have welcomed on board official charity partnershi­ps and given the sensory garden at Ayrshire Central’s Rainbow House a new lease of life by installing brand new equipment.

They have also launched an ongoing appeal to support the Ayrshire Maternity Unit in funding specialise­d cots and equipment to help premature and sick babies.

Amy Aitken, regional fundraisin­g manager at Crosshouse Children’s fund, said: “Our first year supporting young patients and their families in Ayrshire and Arran has been fantastic and we look forward to many more years of successful fundraisin­g to come.

“Our Birthday Ball promises to be a fantastic evening and we look forward to celebratin­g with everyone on the night.”
