The World Day of Prayer will be held this year on Friday March 6 at 7pm in St Ninian’s Episcopal Church, Bentinck Drive.

Following the service, refreshmen­ts will be served in the hall. All very welcome to attend.

A Fair Trade Coffee Morning will take place in Troon Old Parish Church Hall on Saturday March 7 from 10am to noon. Fair Trade items will be on sale from various stalls.

Date for your Diary: Messy Church will take place in St Ninian’s Church on Sunday March 15 from 4pm to 6pm. The theme will be Joseph.

There will be crafts, games and a story with a meal for pre- school children. Children up to P7 and their families. All very welcome.

The recent fund- raising bag pack for Christian Aid held in Morrison’s Store raised the excellent sum of £ 1112.

The Troon Committee wish to thank all volunteers from the various churches in the town who gave their time, money and enthusiasm to make the event so successful.

Troon Arthritis Care ( TAG) will hold its next meeting on Wednesday February 26 at 2pm in St Meddan’s Church Hall.

The Guest Speaker is Ian Watkins and his topic is “Terrorists Finance”.

Tea is served at the close of the meeting. New members very welcome.

The next meeting of Troon Flower Club will take place on Wednesday February 26 at 7.30pm in the Walker Hall.

The demonstrat­ion “Don’t stop me now” will be given by Karine Murray from East Kilbride.

PRINCH printing is available in Troon Library for members and visitors who can now print directly from their laptop, tablet or phone.

The Foodbank will be open weekly in Troon Old Parish Church - Room 2 on Tuesdays and Fridays from noon until 2pm .

Free Lessons are being given in the Marr Educationa­l Resource Centre ( behind Troon Library) every Friday morning from 10 until 11.30.

Troon Connect – Looking for some advice and support; are you concerned about your health or your partner’s. Call in at The Haven, 9 Academy Street Troon every Thursday from 2pm to 4pm.

Calling all Knitters! Knitted baby hats are needed in Malawi where the nights can be extremely cold.

A large supply of wool has been donated to Portland Church and anyone who would like to knit baby hats, cardigans and jumpers should call in to the Office at Portland and pick up wool suitable for these items.

The Office is open on Monday and Thursday from 9am to 1.30pm.

Knitted items will be sent to Malawi/ Bananabox Trust.
