Troon Friends of the Ayrshire Hospice are presenting a concert in Troon Old Parish Church on Tuesday March 10 at 7.30pm.

The Aeolian Male Voice Choir will give a programme of modern and classical music suitable for all tastes.

The tickets are priced £ 8 and are on sale on the evening of the concert.

Proceeds go to the Ayrshire Hospice.

Friends of Troon Beaches meet at 10am every Sunday to pick up litter from the sand and shoreline.

The session lasts for one hour. Everyone is welcome – including dogs. For more informatio­n see Facebook Friends of Troon Beaches.

The World Day of Prayer will be held this year on Friday March 6 at 7pm in St Ninian’s Episcopal Church, Bentinck Drive.

Following the service, refreshmen­ts will be served in the hall. All very welcome to attend.

A Fair Trade Coffee Morning will take place in Troon Old Parish Church Hall on Saturday March 7 from 10am to noon.

Fair Trade items will be on sale from various stalls.

Date for your Diary: Messy Church will take place in St Ninian’s Church on Sunday March 15 from 4pm to 6pm.

The theme will be Joseph. There will be crafts, games and a story with a meal for pre- school children, children up to P7 and their families.

All very welcome.

PRINCH printing is available in Troon Library for members and visitors who can now print directly from their laptop, tablet or phone.

The Foodbank will be open weekly in Troon Old Parish Church - Room 2 on Tuesdays and Fridays from 12noon until 2pm .

Troon Connect – Looking for some advice and support; are you concerned about your health or your partner’s health, then call in at The Haven, 9 Academy Street Troon every Thursday from 2pm to 4pm.

The Troon Connect Hub can give advice on local services available, community groups andactivit­ies.

Calling all Knitters!

Knitted baby hats are needed in Malawi where the nights can be extremely cold.

A large supply of wool has been donated to Portland Church and anyone who would like to knit baby hats, cardigans and jumpers should call in to the Office at Portland and pick up wool suitable for these items.

The office is open on Monday and Thursday from 9am to 1.30pm.

Knitted items will be sent to Malawi/ Bananabox Trust.
