Pervert Sir jailed for grooming girl, 13

-

grooming two other girls online- aged 12 and 13 at the time.

Ayr Sheriff Court previously heard that from May 2010 to March 2012, Scott and the victim were in contact on a regular basis.

At a court appearance in January, Depute fiscal Kim McGregor said: “They would send nude images to each other.

“He asked her to send images; she sent these images and he would say what she could do to make them better.

“The victim and the accused would video call each other and carry out sex acts.”

Manipulative Scott even told the teen he would leave his then girlfriend, now ex- wife, for her.

He told his victim to delete every message exchanged between the two and keep their trysts to herself.

And despite being arrested, prosecuted and jailed for abusing other young girls at the same time, twisted Scott even contacted the girl again after his release.

At the sentencing hearing on Monday, Solicitor Niall McCluskey said: “He accepts he has pled guilty to very serious charges and he instructs me to indicate to the court his regret and apologises to the complainer.

“Because this case is a plea- it clearly meant the complainer has not been required to give evidence.

“Mr Scott- being aware of the person’s age from the outset- takes full responsibility and that he took advantage of the victim’s maturity.

“He shows remorse and concern for her wellbeing.

“He’s not someone who’s in denial.” Mr McCluskey added that Scott accepted he faced a period of imprisonment but hoped Sheriff

Desmond Leslie could consider his age at the time of the offence.

He added: “There is the record of the previous conviction where he was 23, 24 on that occasion.

“Some of his offending was before 25 and some was after.”

Sheriff Desmond Leslie said he took into account Scott’s age at the time of the offence and added: “There clearly is an overlap from offences of the previous sentence.

“I take all of that into account and that sentence will be one of 23 months imprisonment.”

Scott admitted six charges out of 13. A not guilty plea to seven charges, which contained six complainers, was accepted by the crown.

Scott’s sentence was discounted from 30 months and he was placed on the Sex Offenders Register for 10 years.
