Last council workers to leave Burns House

A paedophile former primary teacher who bedded a 13- yearold girl after grooming her online a decade ago has been jailed for 23 months.

Sick Stuart Scott, 34, targeted the teen after meeting her through the youth football team he coached in Ayrshire back in 2010.

Scott- who was 24 at the time- added her as a friend on Facebook and arranged to pick her up in his car and go a drive.

A council spokesman said: “The majority of staff have now left Burns House, with those remaining scheduled to leave before the end of March.

“When all staff have left, detailed pre- demolition surveys will be carried out with the actual strip out and demolition due to start around September 2020, but this will be reviewed depending on the outcome of survey work.”

There are plans to build a new railway station in the area but no definite proposals have come forward yet.
