Monday’s surrender at Stranraer was the final straw for fed- up fans who vented their anger in unprecedented scenes at the end.
Furious followers BAYED for the head of manager Simon Stainrod, CHANTED the name of Stranraer boss Alex McAnespie and URGED chairman Bill Barr to reach for his cheque book. After the 2- 0 defeat Stainrod said: “I don’t think football is a game for wimps.”

James Brown, MP for South Ayrshire, took part on Friday last in a demonstration at St Andrew’s Hall, Glasgow, to celebrate the coming into force of Prohibition in America.
Mr Brown said he did not despair of seeing the drink traffic abolished in Scotland by the votes of the people, but they could not expect to carry Prohibition without a great fight. It had been said Prohibition would rob the people of their liberty. That, he said, was a very foolish argument, for their was no liberty in drink.
