Head on down to the Jungle in deepest darkest Troon
FUNBOX is staging a Jungle Party in Troon next month.
Having all been a part of the Scottish institution that was the Singing Kettle, Gary Coupland,
Kevin Macleod and Anya Scott- Rodgers are no strangers to entertaining crowds.
When it was made clear that the Singing Kettle was not for sale the trio took their first steps into business.
Gary said: “We knew we could write songs, perform and make music, but none of us had
any real experience of running a business. We just went into it head first.”
He had been the Singing Kettle’s Music Man for 32 years before the closure of the company in 2015.
Anya added: “We wanted to carry on, not just for us but kids who loved coming to see us and the parents and grandparents who wanted to take their kids.”
Six shows, 48 costumes, 11 DVDs and CDs and one big dog to their name, FUNBOX show no signs of waining.
The Jungle Party comes to Troon Concert Hall on Sunday, April 5 at 2pm.
It is packed with the same traditional songs and silliness known and loved by many but with their own brand of manic humour with a modern twist.
Join Anya, Kevin, Gary and Bonzo as they get their jungle boogie on. Chock- full of singalong
classics like ‘ Down In The Jungle’ and ‘ 5 Wee Monkeys’, FUNBOX favourites and brand new
songs, JUNGLE PARTY is jumbo- sized join- in fun for all the family. Come dressed as a party animal .
