Darren Weir claimed the SIBA Under 21’ s Singles title for the 3rd year in a row.

Darren claimed the title with wins over Bradley Buchan ( Fraserburg­h) 2118 and Dean Riva ( East Lothian) 21- 13 at Abbeyview.

After the SIBA Under 18 trial at

Headwell, Ross Gouldstone has been selected to represent Scotland in the Internatio­nal Series at Ballybrake­s ( Ireland) in October.

Rebecca Houston was part of the SIBA Ladies Internatio­nal Team that took part in the Internatio­nal Series at Llanelli in Wales at the weekend.

Scotland got their campaign off to a good start with a victory over Ireland, though defeats against Wales and England left them 3rd in the table.

Darren Weir and Paul Foster head to Llannelli on Wednesday morning to join up with the Scotland Internatio­nal Team, the Gents will be looking to win the Internatio­nal Series for the first time since 2014.

Saturday sees the Seniors play Ardrossan at the Galleon in their last game of the Ayrshire Senior League.

On Sunday the Galleon host the Ayrshire Finals throughout the day.

Prestwick will be represente­d in the Ladies Fours ( S Shackleton, A Boyd, J Bunyan & B Holland) and Senior Fours ( W Kennedy, G Smith, S Gibson & J Lindsay). AYR INDOOR

This Saturday Ayr Indoor hosts a Gents Open Triples which has been sponsored by Edrington and The Glasgow Will Company.

Entrants will be notified of draw and times.

Sunday sees the following Ayr representa­tives compete in the Ayrshire Finals at Galleon: 9am- Ladies 2 Bowl Pairs: J Reid, V O’Neill; 12: 30pm - Senior Singles: J Henderson; 3pm – Ladies Pairs: J Arnott, M Hutchison; Senior Triples: B Little, J Reid, G Arnott.
