Carlo Walker wishes Maybole’s season was only just beginning after clocking up EIGHT wins in a row.

The Ladywell men marked the opening of a hospitalit­y and players’ lounge by beating Vale of Clyde 1- 0.

Jordan Banks was the man on target as they kept up the incredible turn in form.

Keeper Darren Johnston ensured the hot run stayed intact with a last minute penalty save.

Maybole’s world record paralympic athlete Kayleigh Haggo opened the brand new facility which has been made possible by Lynch Homes, Buzzworks and Digital Kitchens.

Long serving boss Walker said: “On and off the pitch the club are making big strides.

“The players are on an incredible run, six have signed long term contracts and we have more committee than ever before.

“It’s just a pity the team took a while to gel otherwise we would be well placed for promotion.

“We’ve only one home league game left which is a great pity.”

On Saturday, ‘ Bole head to Cambuslang in the Ardagh West of Scotland Cup.

The prize is a home tie in the next round against Troon.

GLENAFTON crushed Largs 5- 1 in the Premiershi­p with doubles from Dale Moore and Joe Andrew sealing an impressive win.

Lee Gallacher added No 5 before Ross Love replied. Glens now head to Rutherglen.

TROON came from behind to beat Winton 2- 1 in the West Cup.

After Ryan McKie fired the hosts ahead, Dean Fulton equalised with a solo effort before John Gemmell fired a dramatic 94th minute thunderbol­t free- kick.

WHITLETTS were 3- 2 winners away to Arthurlie in the Championsh­ip.

Jordan Boyd, Robert Patterson and Michael Reilly were all on target for the visitors.

They now head to Irvine Vics. CRAIGMARK missed the chance to climb out the bottom three when they were held 2- 2 by Cambuslang. Next up is Petershill at home.

GIRVAN made it three wins in a row under returning boss Peter Leonard.

Steven Currie and Craig Harvey put them ahead against Port Glasgow who grabbed a last minute consolatio­n.

They now head to Largs in the West Cup.
