Troon Library has an excellent photocopyi­ng service available. The prices are as follows: Anything with Colour in it – A4 and A3 – 40p per side.

Black and White – A4 and A3 – 20p per side.

The Annual General Meeting of Troon RNLI Fundraisin­g Branch will be held at the Boathouse on Wednesday March 25 at 7pm.

Troon Ayrshire Family History Society will hold its next meeting in Portland Church Hall on Thursday March 19 at 7.30pm.

Maureen Cockbain will give a talk entitled “My Hero”. Visitors very welcome.

Friends of Troon Beaches meet at 10am every Sunday to pick up litter from the sand and shoreline. The session lasts for one hour. Everyone is welcome – including dogs.

The Foodbank will be open weekly in Troon Old Parish Church - Room 2 on Tuesdays and Fridays from noon until 2pm .

Troon Connect – Looking for some advice and support; are you concerned about your health or your partner’s health. Call in at The Haven, 9 Academy Street Troon every Thursday from 2pm to 4pm.

The Troon Connect Hub can give advice on local services available, community groups and activities.

Troon has its own nature reserve. The flooded fields off Dundonald Road have provided a safe haven for 9 mute swans and a large variety of ducks. Curlew and lapwing can also be spotted with many inland gulls sheltering from the strong winds.

Troon Flower Club. Following a directive from NAFAS and afternoon consultati­on with the demonstrat­ors, the decision has been taken to cancel meetings for March and April.

Due to coronaviru­s the meeting of Troon Arthritis Group to be held in St Meddan’s Church Hall on Wednesday March 25 has been cancelled.

Notices of further cancellati­ons will appear on St Meddan’s Church Notice Board and in the Library.
