Bright sparks and go-getters
This week we are delighted to present our special P7-S1 feature part 4.
We have been bowled over by the scores of proud parents and guardians who got in touch with us.
They have messaged us in their droves to submit pictures of their talented sons and daughters who are preparing to make the transition from primary school to secondary school in August.
It has been a rough old time for schoolchildren all over Ayrshire and further afield.
During the Covid-19 pandemic school terms ended prematurely as part of the UK-wide lockdown.
And it has been especially hard on our bright sparks in P7. They have all missed out on their big prom nights and other leavers’ ceremonies.
Those events were a great chance for pupils to get glammed up, have some fun and say goodbye to all their primary teachers.
It was also an opportunity for pupils to say farewell to their school chums for the summer.
So we thought it would be a great idea to honour the P7 pupils, give them their day in the sun and run a graduation special just for them.
Don’t worry if your child has missed out. There is still time to submit a picture.
Why not send us a picture of your child or children (in uniform) and we’ll feature them in a future edition?
Don’t forget to include your child’s name, age, what town they live in, the primary school they attended and what secondary school they are going to in August.
Send your pictures to our Facebook page or email us at news@ayrshirepost.co.uk.
Best wishes to all our pupils making the step up to S1 after the summer holidays.
