OAP,71 viciously attacked

The hunt has been stepped up to find the assailiant of a 71 year-old man who sustained serious injuries during a sickening attack in Ayr.

The pensioner was viciously assaulted in the Seaforth Road area of town at about 8pm last Saturday.

The suspect is described as being slim build with short grey shaved hair and a tanned complexion.

He was wearing blue jeans and a t-shirt.

Detective Constable Lana Grant, from Ayr CID, said: “Our enquiries into this report are very much ongoing and we are trying to establish the full circumstan­ces.

“We are appealing to anyone who saw an assault take place, or saw the man walking injured between Seaforth Road and Seaforth Crescent to come forward.”
