Builder John dies at 69
The much-admired Troon builder John C Morton has died. He was 69.
His company was behind many luxury developments in Troon and the wider area.
He died peacefully at home in Troon on June 25, surrounded by his family.
John was laid to rest at Troon Cemetery on July 3, his cortege pausing briefly as it passed Royal Troon Golf Club.
John was a father of two and grandfather of four and leaves his wife Libby.
Since the seventies John and his firm created bespoke villas and flats and among accolades was a national award for the quality of a development in Troon’s Lochend Road.
One of his final building achievements were the four big villas on Monktonhill Road.
