Progress towards improving knowledge and understanding of Scotland’s third-biggest killer disease – which is 62 percent more prevalent in East Ayrshire - has been highlighted at a virtual conference hosted by University of the West of Scotland (UWS).

Chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) is a deadly lung disorder that a consortium of organisations including UWS has been granted €7.7 million.
