Thought for the week..

For over 20 years I edited a Christian magazine for children of primary school age.

One of the delights of the job was that a good number of readers wrote to me.

In my replies I tried to tell them something of the wonder of God.

I often told the children that, if they learned something about the Lord Jesus every single day of their lives, and if they lived to be a hundred years old, they would still have many wonderful things to discover in heaven. It seems to me that this is something that we adults would do well to remember too.

The Bible tells us that Jesus, ‘is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn over all creation. For by him all things were created, things in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible … He is before all things and in him all things hold together.’ And that’s just one verse of the Bible. Amazing! (Colossians 1:15-17)
