Teen driver killed in car smash
A teenager was killed after a horror road smash at the weekend.
The 19- year- old died after his Vauxhall Corsa left the road and hit a tree.
The tragedy occurred on the A70 Ayr Road, Coylton, on Sunday at 1.20am. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

The 19- year- old’s white Vauxhall Corsa left the road as it headed eastbound on Ayr Road, Coylton at 1.20am.
Emergency services were called but the driver, who was alone in the car at the time, died at the scene.
The name of the victim is not being released at the request of his heartbroken family. Police are now appealing for witnesses. Sergeant Kevin Blackley, of Ayrshire’s Road Policing Unit, said: “Although the crash happened in the early hours of the morning, from our enquiries so far, we know there were a number of cars on the road around the time of the collision.
“We are keen to hear from anyone who was in the area in the early hours of Sunday morning, particularly between Dobbies Garden Centre, Ayr and the town of Coylton.
“Any information, including dashcam footage, can be passed to police via 101 quoting reference number 0319 of 13 December, 2020.”
Many people have been quick to leave messages of sympathy on social media in the wake of the weekend tragedy.
