SCOTIA FUTURE- CHIC BRODIE

-

My first serious election campaign was in Ayr when I came to work here as a business manager for the manufacturing arm of an international company.

I loved Ayr then as I do now. As a former MSP I was proud to be able to offer my financial, social and successful management experience to Ayr and the South of Scotland.

I hope to do so again.

This election has been disappointing.

Focusing too much on personalities and not enough on policies.

Promises again being made for power at any price.

This election will be a turning point for our country and I wish to secure the interests of all in Ayr and Ayrshire in that event by using that experience and competence to secure economic and social justice for all.

Westminster and Holyrood governments are broken and our local government has failed. Major change is needed. I want us to have a real independence where we spell out what that means politically but also economic independence where the cost of

Government is reduced and investment, jobs, lower taxes and personal wealth is increased for all in Ayr, Prestwick and Troon.

I will focus on helping create jobs in industries like tourism, energy, in digital, in light manufacturing and in aerospace and developing a more federated system of local Government where there is the goal of a“one Ayrshire” approach in shared local services and economic development to reduce local taxes and improve incomes.

With experience and government competence and with the talents and pride of the people of Ayr, Prestwick and Troon we can make this much needed change happen together.
