Royal Troon ace Michael Smyth carded a bogey-free second round 65 to claim yet another Belleisle Corum Cup.
Smyth fired six birdies during a flawless afternoon to finish on 165 – four shots clear of fellow Royal Troon man Keith Hamilton.
Smyth, 35, told the Post: “I missed several more short putts and could easily have had a 62 out there.”
The six-time Royal Troon champion is now bidding to set a new club record for titles won this summer.
