SOUTH AYRSHIRE COUNCIL (National Bowling Championships, Ayr) (Temporary Prohibition of Waiting & Loading) Order 2022

On 7 July 2022 the Council, in exercise of the powers conferred on it under Section 62 of the Roads (Scotland) Act 1984 as amended, the Road Traffic (Permitted Parking Area and Special Parking Area) (South Ayrshire Council) Designation Order 2012 and the Road Traffic Act 1991 and of all other enabling powers, made the above-named Order, which will restrict waiting and loading as described below to maintain safety for the public attending the Northfield Bowling Championships.

Temporary Prohibition of Waiting & Loading 8:00am – 5:30pm Monday to Sunday

Ardlui Rd; Bellesleyhill Ave between Northfield Ave & Alderston Ave; Bellesleyhill Rd; Britannia Pl; Cambuslea Rd; Campbell St; East Park Rd; Falkland Park Rd; Falkland Pl; Falkland Rd; Georges Ave; Gordon St; Heathfield Rd from Prestwick Rd to East Rd; Hunters Ave from Callendar Pl to Heathfield Rd; Hunters Ave from Northfield Ave to Callendar Pl; Hunters Avenue from Heathfield Rd to Afton Ave; Kings Park; Kings Park Cres; Kings Park Dr; Kirkholm Ave; Lansdowne Rd; Lisburn Rd; Maryfield Pl; Maryfield Rd; McColgan Pl; Murray Pl; Northfield Ave from Prestwick Rd to Hunters Ave; Northpark Ave; Oswald Crt; Oswald Rd from Falkland Rd to Woodfield Rd; Quail Rd; Rosslyn Pl; St Georges Rd; Seaforth Rd from Prestwick Rd to East Park Rd; Teviot St; Tweed St; Union Ave; West Sanquhar Rd; Whittle Rd; Woodfield Rd. Residents of the above roads will be issued with a temporary residents parking permit.

The Order commences on 17 July 2022 and has a maximum duration of 7 days or until the event is finished, whichever is earlier. The bowling championships are planned to commence from 8.00am on Sunday 17 July with the restrictions removed by 8.00pm on Sunday 24 July 2022. Pedestrian access will not be affected, no alternative route is required and access for the emergency services will be maintained.
