I think local people would agree with me saying it should be a car park for the social work centre next door, so maybe the dual carriage way can be used as a road instead of a car park!

Sammy Christie

Too close to the shops and a bus stop right out side the place no much chance of getting permission. Was ment to be a Starbucks coffee place going there.

Isabel Hamilton

There’s been car washed in there before and they never lasted long. Suzanne Slavin

What makes it more awful is that the Conservative government have given themselves and other unionist MPs over £10,000 of an increase in their annual salary over the past 10 years. An inflation-busting payrise, whilst everyone else across the four UK nations struggle with the consequences of their austerity policies.

Linda Mennie

Alex Ireland it’s got nothing to do with uk government snp have the powers through the 2016 Scotland Act to be able to top up peoples benefits do they no cos they don’t care so they can keep blaming the uk government an example is when people on benefits got a temporary extra £20 during covid and then it was stopped the snp could have kept it going but weren’t interested.

Lee Hart

There is working poverty also as a lot of hard working people are just not making ends meet. It’s not just about the people claiming benefits.

Go to any food bank and see. The numbers mentioned are the tip of the iceberg and it’s frightening to think what it will be like come Winter when there already is a huge problem now.
