Post Office
MOBILE SERVICE FOR VILLAGES
THE Post Office will restore Post Office services to the communities of Llanfaelog, Moelfre and Newborough with the introduction of a Mobile Outreach service.
The Mobile Outreach Service, whereby a nearby postmaster provides a service at a set time and location will be operated by the postmaster from Maesgeirchen Post Office, who will visit the communities every week at a set time.
A wide range of services will be available including Car Tax and Euro/Dollar Travel money. Customers will be able to collect benefits in cash using everyday banking services or Post Office card account. The date for the new mobile service has yet to be confirmed.
The introduction of the mobile service presented the Post Office with the best possible solution to providing Post Office services to the areas following the temporary closure of their previous branches over recent years.
Post Office Network Operations Manager, Carol Williams, said: “We are making it easier for customers to get their cash, send and collect their mail and do their banking because we know how important these services are to local residents.
She added “We understand how important having a Post Office is to residents and we are confident this Mobile Outreach service will meet their needs and secure services for the future.”
