Ex-Cardiff U-23 coach is latest boss of Bangor
BANGOR CITY have unveiled former Cardiff City Under-23 coach Kevin Nicholson as their new manager.
Nicholson, 31, is a UEFA Pro Licensed coach.
He is a highly qualified professional coach with more than a decade of coaching and management experience at academy and senior level.
A statement on the Citizens’ official website said: “Kevin has developed a good reputation and a proven track record of successfully managing and developing players and teams during his career to date.
“Kevin has overseen the progression of talented young players at numerous elite level clubs and worked with senior professional and international players as a first team coach at EFL Championship club Cardiff City.
“Most recently he was under-23 Manager at Cardiff City and previously held coaching positions at Exeter City, Derby County and Stoke City, working closely with well-known and successful first team managers such as Nigel Clough and Paul Tisdale.”
Nicholson will work closely with assistant manager Gary Taylor-Fletcher and director of football Stephen Vaughan junior as the Citizens build-up to next season’s Welsh Premier League campaign and a tilt at the UEFA Europa League.
Bangor-born Nathan Broadhead believes Everton is “the perfect place to be” after signing a new contract with the Blues until the end of June 2020.
The Wales youth international, who can play as a striker or winger, has broken through into David Unsworth’s title-winning under-23s side this season.
The 19-year-old joined the Blues’ academy nine years ago and has progressed through the ranks.
