HOLYHEAD CANCER SUPPORT GROUP: Is a registered charity set up to offer support to those who are suffering or recovering from Cancer. Meetings take place at the Penucheldre Centre in Millbank in Holyhead on Weds, 11am-3.30pm. A variety of activities and therapies are offered in a pleasant, friendly atmosphere. Transport can be arranged to bring people to and from the venue by prior arrangement. The group has outings to places of interest during the spring and summer. Do not miss out, contact Dave Hughes 07899840968 for details. PASSCHENDAELE: July 31 this year is the 100th anniversary of the start of the third Battle of Ypres, also known as Passchendaele. The Royal British Legion will be encouraging Remembrance of those who lost their lives in this major offensive of the First World War. Members of the public and particularly, relatives of the injured and fallen may wish to mark the occasion by laying a wreath or planting a poppy cross. These can be ordered direct from The Royal British Legion or through your local Poppy Appeal Organiser. Deliveries normally take one to two weeks after order.
