Train death:
A MAN who died after being hit by a train on Anglesey has been named.
Dafydd Wyn Parry was pronounced dead at Llanfairpwll railway station after being struck by the Virgin Trains 12.52pm service from Holyhead to London Euston on Wednesday.
Yesterday, the office of North West Wales coroner Dewi Pritchard Jones confirmed that Mr Parry was 71 and from Llanfairpwll. An inquest will be held at a later date.
Emergency services were called to the station shortly after 1.15pm.
A British Transport Police spokesperson said: “This incident is not being treated as suspicious and a file will be prepared for the coroner.”
All trains were halted between Holyhead and Bangor following the incident.
