ONCE a year Anglesey Circuit opens its doors to the fastest growing motorsport in the world - Drifting!

This coming weekend will see more than 150 cars on track for two days of sideways action, making the Drift Matsuri the biggest Drift event in the UK.

The venue will be divided into three different tracks to cater for all level of driver skill.

The hairpin is where some will test their new-found skills, and the bravest of the experienced drifters will try backwards entry into the corner. The Touge Track is popular for multiple cars to run door to door in what are known as “drift trains” over the undulating track, while the National Track will see entry speeds into the corners in the region of 100mph.

When the sun sets, the real fun begins. Some of the finest drivers from UK and Ireland will compete under floodlights in head to head drift battles to become the Night Fight Champion of 2017.

Once the winner is crowned, is time to party until the small hours with the ‘Party in the Pits’. DJ Mike Lewis returns to drop some funky beats until the small hours.

Sunday sees the drifting continue until sun set. There is something for anyone interested in cars, from a beautifully presented old school E-type Jag to a modern day GT86.
