Jailed: Baker who flashed at girls
A BAKER was jailed for flashing at two schoolgirls in Bangor.
Sean Eifion Williams, who also works as a delivery driver, had denied outraging public decency by exposing himself to the girls. But he was found guilty by a district judge. Caernarfon magistrates court heard from his defence barrister Hannah Horton that while Williams didn’t suggest the girls were lying about what they saw, it wasn’t him who flashed at them.
She said he was hard-working, well-thoughtof, and had been instrumental in the expansion and success of the family business.
But judge Gwyn Jones said Williams, of Llanllechid, Bangor, knew the locations, having been to a school in that area before the offence, which was committed last May.
“Only an immediate period of custody can be justified,” he said.
Williams (pictured right), 24, was jailed for 20 weeks and ordered to sign the sex offenders register.
A sexual harm prevention order (SOPO) was placed on him and he had to pay £1,115 costs.
Investigating Officer DS Chris Burrow, of Bangor CID, said: “I’d like to acknowledge the strength and character of the victims and witnesses who had the courage in coming forward to assist this investigation and to ensure justice is served.
“This type of offence causes huge distress and fear, not just to the victims but also their families and the wider community.”
