ORTH Wales is in for a huge year with a number of unmissable events for us to look forward to.

From wordwide festivals to musical megastars, top comedians, prosecco festivals, world rally championsh­ips, top theatre shows and plenty of unmissable live gigs, high-profile events are already being scheduled for 2018.

And there will be even more to look out for as several other major names and events are yet to be announced as coming to the region.

Here’s our round up of some of the best to come to the region throughout 2018. Kicking off the New Year in style, the sensationa­l feel-good musical MAMMA MIA! arrives in Llandudno as part of its first ever UK tour. Where: Venue Cymru, Llandudno When: From January 9 - 14 Celebratin­g their 30th anniversar­y in 2018, Brighton folk-punk band Levellers are coming to Wrexham this Spring. Where: William Aston Hall, Wrexham When: February 2 X-Factor star Rebecca Ferguson has announced a new tour with a date in North Wales. Where: William Aston Hall, Wrexham When: February 22 Brendan Cole is joined by his cast of guest dancers, his leading lady and talented 14-piece band and singers, to whip up an extravagan­t mix of Latin fever and ballroom magic. Where: Pavilion Theatre, Rhyl When: Thursday, February 8 Feeder, who are about to embark on their biggest tour in 10 years, are set to play tracks from the new Best Of - spanning an impressive 21 years of releases. Where: William Aston Hall, Wrexham When: March 5 Science fiction fans from across the galaxy will be teleported into North Wales again this March for three days of fantasy fun. Where: Hafan y Môr Holiday Park, Pwllheli, LL53 6HX When: March 22 - March 25 Controvers­ial comedian and political activist Russell Brand will make his way to Llandudno for the first time in February. Where: William Aston Hall, Wrexham When: April 28 Fresh from touring the world with bandmates Mark Owen and Howard Donald, Gary Barlow announced his upcoming solo tour will be making its way to North Wales. Where: Venue Cymru, Llandudno When: May 21/22 The Stereophon­ics are coming back to Wrexham to play another huge homecoming gig. Where: Wrexham Racecourse Ground When: Saturday, June 2 One of Britain’s best-selling artists and a Grammy Award winner are the stars on the Llangollen Internatio­nal Musical Eisteddfod’s 2018 lineup. Where: Llangollen Pavilion When: July 3 - July 8 Comedian Jason Manford will hit the road for a brand new stand-up tour in 2018 and he’s coming to Rhyl and Wrexham.
