Holyhead remain at the peak
HOLYHEAD Rugby Club remain top of Division Three North after last weekend’s hard-fought 12-7 home win over Anglesey rivals Menai Bridge.
The hosts far from had it all their own way against the visitors, who brought intense physicality and a well-organised pack to Bryn y Mor, and after leading for a good proportion of the game will no doubt be disappointed with the result.
Tries from Ben Jordan, who added a conversion, and man of the match Paddy Maguire clinched a narrow success which ensured Caergybi maintained their 100% home record.
Holyhead are now just two points clear of Nant Conwy seconds at the summit having played a game more.
The Holy Islanders will be keen to maintain that gap when they travel to Mold 2nds this Saturday.
