Close-run thing to stay in touch for second place

-

LAST Sunday saw Bangor City achieve a great victory at Cardiff Met, which has proven to be a difficult place to get a result over the last couple of seasons.

After last week’s result, as well as Friday’s, this was just what we needed to remain in contention for the place in next season’s Irn Bru Cup.

At the moment it’s very tight around us and we are third on goal difference. There are only four matches left and two of those are against Bala and Connah’s Quay.

I’m no clairvoyant but I suspect the league will remain close until the last match of the season. Let’s hope we are in second place at that point.

Our next match is the rearranged home match with the champions. The original match was due to be played on Good Friday at 7:45pm but now it will take place this Saturday at 5:15pm. The match will also be live on Sgorio.

If you had access to Facebook or You Tube a week ago you will have been able to see Danny Gosset’s impressive performance for Wales C against England C. It was good to see Guto Williams also named among the substitutes. Da iawn hogia!

There has been some internet talk about making C internationals into more of a permanent event but we’ll have to wait and see what happens there.

Our next meeting will take place on Monday, April 9, in Nantporth.

As usual there will be a 6:30pm start and everyone is welcome to attend.

The last thing I need to do is wish everyone seasonal greetings on behalf of the BCFCSA, so we’d like to wish everyone Happy Easter. Pasg Hapus i pawb!
