Hotspur in Memorial Shield final

HOLYHEAD Hotspur Peibio advanced to the final of the Anglesey Youth and Junior Football League Under-12 Jimmy Lawlor Memorial Shield Final with a 5-2 victory over Amlwch Town Juniors.

AJ Ineson notched a hat-trick and Sion Thomas a double for Peibio, who will meet Llanfair Seintiau in the showpiece game after they defeated Llangefni Llewod 3-1 on penalties after a 3-3 draw in the other semi.

Trearddur Bay Juniors were in ruthless form in the Under-12 League, thrashing Menai Bridge Tigers 10-0 thanks to Huw Watkins 3, Ollie McEachern 2, Leon Trowell, Devendre Temple, Jamie Dean, Jack Cowhig and Gethin Roberts.

Amlwch Town Juniors ran out 4-2 winners against Llanfair Teigrod in the Under-14 League, Aiden Gisbourne and Ben Aiden Thomas Hughes both netting doubles.

Cai Hughes was a hat-trick hero as Llanfair Teirw comfortabl­y swept aside Llangefni Town Blues 6-2, Dei Thomas, Dewi Jones and Osian Kiely adding singles.

CPD Llangefni outscored Cemaes Bay 4-2 in the Under-16 League, Jack Edwards 2, Ethan Jones and William Hughes the Cefni marksmen, while Llangoed and District overcame CPD Amlwch 4-2, Jay Finter, Cai Jones, Kieran Owen and Aaron Evans netting one apiece for the winners.
