Holyhead hit the heights as Bod Stock up on silver
TEAMS from the Anglesey and Bangor areas fared well on the North Wales football trophies front in 2017/18.
Pride of place went to Holyhead Town, who in their first season at Gwynedd League level won the championship and cup double.
Bodedern Athletic finished a superb second at the first attempt in Welsh Alliance Division Two, to secure promotion to Division One.
And Ricky Williams’ side added the Take Stock Van Hire Cup to their trophy cabinet.
Gwalchmai lifted the Gwynedd League Safeflue Shield and Bro Goronwy the Bob Owen Memorial Shield.
Llangefni Town ended the season in runners-up position in Welsh Alliance Division One.
In the Anglesey League, prizes were split between champions Mynydd Tigers, double cup winners Bryngwran Bulls and Arriva Bangor and Megan Cup victors Caergybi.
Bangor City were runners-up in the Welsh Premier League, but unfortu- nately got relegated after failing to attain the essential Tier 1 and Uefa licences. NORTH WALES FOOTBALL ROLL OF HONOUR 2017/18 Welsh Premier League
