HONEYBEES: There will be a talk by Katie Hayward, from Felin Honeybees, on keeping Honey Bees, at the WI Hall at 2pm on Monday June 25 and everyone is welcome. Entry is £3.50 to include tea and light refreshments made with honey. For more info ring 01248 717600 GWYNGYLL WI: Vicky Macdonald gave a talk about her visit to Japan and its various islands. She spoke about the Japanese way of life, its religion and customs. Her talk was accompanied by slides, which showed the wonderful temples and beautiful gardens with their water features, wooden bridges and colourful azaleas. On a sadder note, Vicky had visited Hiroshima and Nagasaki and the Chiran Peace Museum. Next meeting will be at 7.30pm at the WI Hall on Thursday, July 5 when Barbara James will speak about Mountaineering and rescue. Visitors will be welcome.
