HONEYBEES: There will be a talk by Katie Hayward, from Felin Honeybees, on keeping Honey Bees, at the WI Hall at 2pm on Monday June 25 and everyone is welcome. Entry is £3.50 to include tea and light refreshmen­ts made with honey. For more info ring 01248 717600 GWYNGYLL WI: Vicky Macdonald gave a talk about her visit to Japan and its various islands. She spoke about the Japanese way of life, its religion and customs. Her talk was accompanie­d by slides, which showed the wonderful temples and beautiful gardens with their water features, wooden bridges and colourful azaleas. On a sadder note, Vicky had visited Hiroshima and Nagasaki and the Chiran Peace Museum. Next meeting will be at 7.30pm at the WI Hall on Thursday, July 5 when Barbara James will speak about Mountainee­ring and rescue. Visitors will be welcome.
