Eddie Izz-ere
SOME fantastic images have emerged of comedian Eddie Izzard filming in North Wales. These snaps were taken by amateur Rhos-on-Sea photographer Paul Board.
Filming for upcoming release ‘Six Minutes to Midnight’ has taken place on the Llandudno waterfront, although initial plans to do a week’s filming on the pier have been scrapped due to a disagreement between the pier’s owner and the film’s production company.
The film, which will also star Dame Judi Dench and Jim Broadbent, is a 1930s-set thriller based on true events, and follows the story of a teacher assigned to a finishing school on the south coast of England, where the daughters of highranking Nazis learn to become faithful members of Hitler’s League of German Girls.
A spokesman for the film’s production company, Mad as Birds thanked the town for its hospitality.
They said: “Due to unforeseen circumstances, we are no longer able to film on the pier in Llandudno and are moving to Penarth to fulfil this aspect of the project.
“We filmed here Monday to Wednesday and really enjoyed our time here.
